More of my maths badge torture. This time its all about Fibonacci and how sequence relates to nature.
This term our teacher chose a few unlucky children to participate in something called a maths badge. Which is basically just extra work. I was chosen so I had to a maths badge. The one I chose to do was 2D design as it looked like the easiest one. The above slide was the first activity I completed and is about perspective drawings and optical illusions. I am happy to say that after much hardship I have finished my maths badge.
This is a maths review we did this term that I forgot we did but I was told to put it on my blog. I hope this is the right thing. Anyway, enjoy looking at test results.
Because it is Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori we have been making kowhaiwhai patterns in class (for maths).
Every day we do maths maintenance and this is today’s. We had to write a word problem that used division. See if you can solve mine!
The words are a bit small so I’ll insert the info here.
- Subtract a negative means add. 3- -2=5
- -3 -5=-8
- PosxPos=Pos NegxNeg=Pos
- PosxNeg OR NegxPos=Neg
The pictures are things that we use integers in so; banking, water levels, temperature, jobs and teaching children maths.
